TLC Garden Tour in Hudson Dec. 9 at 10 am followed by lunch at RAM's
On Dec. 9, 2019 Spring Hill Timebank and TampaBayTimebank will have a special tour of TLC Gardens in Hudson. There are five acres of organically grown fruit trees, herbs and other plants, along with goats, rabbits, and other animals. It is a lovely spot on a private farm that is a 501c3 with the intention of educating the public about growing. If you want to know about how to make the best soil ever, this is the place for you! There is a nursery with plants which will be for sale at great prices with herbs you can grow at this time of year. There are may be eggs as well depending on the chickens!
Please bring cash. Donations are welcome for their non-profit organization, but there is no cost for this tour.
Julie and Dan Kolb, who own this farm, also run the Acts Resources on sr 19, which serves lunch to the homeless. They also collect warm clothing (at this time of year) and household goods for those who can get back into a home. One of the nice things provided for the homeless is a mailing address, so the homeless can pick up their mail there.
The farm can always use donations of flower pots, plastic and paper bags and garden materials you no longer need.
The address is 13129 Sherman Dr Hudson fl 34667, which is just off East Road.
If you are coming from the north, it is not far from County Line and Waterfall, near Andy's. Turn left on to Sherman. If you are coming from the south, turn right from Little Road, left on East and right on Sherman. Go slow because the road is bumpy. The property is close to the turn and is a left turn. You will see the barn. keep going until you see a larger area where you can park.
After the tour, those who are interested will go to Ram's on Little Road for Brunch. Please let me know if you will be going to the tour, and then to Rams; or both so I can make reservations.
